PLANT DESCRIPTION
A fern grows on lake and river shore, crowded in groups. Fertile fronds bright green, long stalked, bipinnate, with numerous sori, on each primary areole.
MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated pitta, inflammation, burning sensation, poison. It is the single known edible variety of fern. Tribal of Kerala uses this plant for preparing curries. No description about this plant is available in Ayurvedic classics.
