Distribution – Found in the evergreen forests of Western Ghats, along river shore.
PLANT DESCRIPTION
A moderate sized tree grows up to 20 meters in height. Leaves large, oblong-lanceolate, acuminate, entire, shining, flowers pale yellow in long drooping axillary umbels. Fruits large, flat, pear-shaped and compressed. Fruit containing brown, irregular surfaced seed.
MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated vata, kapha, arthritis, edema, itching, skin diseases, constipation, and general debility.
