PLANT DESCRIPTION
An erect, branched, annual herb grows up to 50 cm in height. Leaves trifoliately compound, with terminal large leaflet, alternate, wavy, lanceolate, and acuminate; flowers 20-30, whitish in axillary drooping panicles. Fruits small oval, greenish, become bright red when ripe, bearing single black round seed.
MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated pitta, cold, chest infection, pain, fever, inflammations, diarrhea, jaundice, wound and ulcers. In some part in India, this plant is used as Kakamachi instead of the plant Solanum nigrum.
