PLANT DESCRIPTION
A glabrous annual herb with perennial underground bulbs. Leaves simple, linear lanceolate, acute, lorate and crowded at the base. Flower terminal, whitish, and glabrous, seen on long terminal spikes. Fruits ovate and irregularly deciduous capsules. Underground bulbs are whitish or pale yellow, grows up to 15 cm in diameter.
MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated kapha, edema, earache, arthritis, callosity, hemorrhoids, and used as an emitting drug for children.
