PLANT DESCRIPTION
Small tree growing up to 12 meters in height. Leaves simple, opposite, ovate-lanceolate, acuminate and glabrous. Flowers arises from terminal inflorances, whitish, and scenty. Fruits dehiscent pods, with 2-9 seeds, embedded in the pulp. Bark smells like ginger.
MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated kdpha fever, snake poison, general weakness and as a stimulant. In high doses, act as narcotic.

CHEMICAL CONTENTS
A bitter glucoside pittosporin, essential oil and an aromatic oleo-resin are the main ingredients.
