PLANT DESCRIPTION
An erect perennial herb grows up to 60 cm in height. Leaves radical, long, spathulate, sessile, oblong, glabrous and pubescent; flowers small rose colored or pale pink, in cymose inflorescence. Fruits covered with white hairs. Rhizomes are reddish brown, fibrous and aromatic.
MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated pitta, vata, burning sensation, insanity, epilepsy, asthma, bronchitis, headache, inflammations, colic, flatulence, hepatitis, kidney diseases, low back pain, hypertension, graying or falling of hair and general debility.
Useful part : Rhizomes.
