Distribution – Growing wild on walls and as a tree creeper.
PLANT DESCRIPTION
A small spreading climber plant grows on walls and trees. Climbing root arises from nodes. Leaves simple, alternate, ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, leathery, covered with cuticle on upper surface; petiole long phyllode. The inflorescence is a miniature green spathe with an almost round spadix. Ripe berries are red in color makes an ornamental plant.
MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated pitta, inflammation, infections, especially smallpox, chicken pox, abscess, burning sensation and urinary tract diseases.
