Distribution – Growing naturally in forests of Western Ghats, also cultivated.
PLANT DESCRIPTION
A perennial glabrous tendril climber grows over large trees. Leaves simple, alternate, broad, ovate, acute, and pale green colored. Tendrils arises form leaf axils. Flowers small whitish arises from axils. Fruits large, oblong, and yellowish green colored.
MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated pitta, burning sensation, constipation, flatulence, dyspepsia, urinary retentions, calculus, and skin diseases. Tender fruits are used as a vegetable.
