PLANT DESCRIPTION
Moderate sized tree grows up to 25 m in height. Leaves simple, alternate, ovate with oblique base, crenate-dentate, acuminate, upper surface minutely stellately hairy, lower surface hoary-tomentose: flowers yellow, small on thick axillary peduncles: fruits globose drupes of the size of a pea. 2-4 lobed. Contain 1-2 blackish seeds.
MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated pitta and kapha, burning sensation, excessive sweating, cough, skin diseases, itching, wounds, ulcers, diarrhea, haematemesis, epistaxis, haemorrhages and general debility.
