PLANT DESCRIPTION
A beautiful golden colored grass, grows up to 1.5 m in height. Stems hollow, tufted, erect, semi-erect or prostrate, leaves very long and narrow with ligule and auricles; inflorescence a spike or 2-ranked compressed spikelets; grains oblong, blunt on both ends, with a horizontal groove.
MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated vata and pitta, general debility, anorexia, flatulence, boils, skin diseases, ulcers, constipation and menorrhagia, It promote the reunion of fractured bones.
