PLANT DESCRIPTION
An erect elongated undershrub, grows up to 1.5 m in height. Leaves pale green, simple, opposite, elliptic, oblong, acute, serrate, entire, pubescent on both sides. Petiole slender and hairy. Flwers axillary, purplish in elongate recemes. Fruits nutlets, covered with serrated dentate calyx tube, smooth, mucilaginous when wet.

Plant pacifies vitiated tridoshas, cough, asthma, bronchitis, fever, toxins, vomiting, lumbago, gastric distension, urinary retention, ringworm, viral and bacterial infections and skin diseases.
