PLANT DESCRIPTION
A moderate sized evergreen tree grows up to 25 meters in height. Leaves simple, alternate, long petioled, shiny, aromatic, acuminate, ovate or oblong; flowers yellowish white, found in axillary panicles; fruits dark green globose, turns dark brown on ripening. Camphor is obtained from the distillation of bark and leaves.     
MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated vata, kapha, inflammation, cough, asthma, indigestion, flatulence, diarrhea, dysentery.
