Distribution : Growing wild in dry areas in India.
PLANT DESCRIPTION
An extensively spreading monoecious tendril climber with slender angled stem. Leaves deeply, palmaiely five lobed, scabrid on both sides, hispid on the nerves beneath and rounded at the apex; the male flowers yellow in small clusters on slender peduncles: fruits ellipsoid or sub-globose, yellow or yellow with green stripe with embedded small ellipsoid compressed seeds.
MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated pitta, kapha constipation, urinary tract infections, jaundice, worm infestation, tumor, ascites, skin diseases, asthma, bronchitis, and abdominal disorders.
