PLANT DESCRIPTION
A perennial woody climber grows over hedges and small trees. Leaves pinnately compound, usually trifoliate, often 5-7 foliate, ovate, elliptic and acuminate; flowers pinkish white, fragrant, arises from axillary racemes; The fruits are slightly wrinkled disc-like, 3-4 cm by 2 cm, with 2-3 compressed seeds within
MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated vata, kapha, skin diseases, arthritis, ulcers, wounds, inflammation, low back pain and diabetes.
Useful part    :    Root, Bark, Flower, Seed, Oil. 
CHEMICAL CONTENTS
The roots contain dehydrorotenone, lupeol and a ketone. Bark contains 9.3% tannic acid. Stems contain tannic acid, hexoic, arachidic and stearic acids, ceryl alcohol, isomerides of cholesterol, potassium nitrate, gums and resins.
