PLANT DESCRIPTION
A medium sized tree grows up to 15 meters in height. Leaves simple, elliptic-lanceolate to broad-orate with a rounded or cordate base, entire or slightly dentate; flowers white, small in lax terminal or axillary cymes; fruits drupes, yellowish brown, pink or nearly black when ripe with a viscid sweetish transparent pulp surrounding the seed. 
MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated kapha, pitta, dyspepsia, fever, diarrhea, burning sensation, intestinal worms, skin diseases, bronchitis, dry cough, urinary infections, chronic fever and arthralalgia
