PLANT DESCRIPTION
A shrub grows up to 1.25 meters in height. Leaves - 12 to 30 cm. long, ovate lanceolate, obtuse and sometimes acute alternate, the upper surface of the leaves is green while the under surface is white with pubescence. Lamina sometimes dentate. Flower stalk - 40 cm. long, bearing 60 to 70 flowers of yellowish violet colour. Fruits - small with plenty of seeds.
MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated kapha, vata, cardio-myopathy, bronchitis, asthma sterility, dysmenorrhoea, high fever and cardiac debility and pulmonary oedema. By improving the renal blood flow, it improves the renal filtration and urine formation.
