Distribution – In dry deciduous forests in India, especially in Kerala, Karnataka and Tamilnadu states.
PLANT DESCRIPTION
A medium sized evergreen bush. Leaves simple alternate ovate – lanceolate, obtuse, glabrous on upper surfaces. Flowers small whitish and fragrant. Fruits small oval drupes.

Plant pacifies vitiated pitta, inflammations skin disease fever, malaria, and burning sensation.
