PLANT DESCRIPTION
A small perennial herbaceous plant with underground tuberous root. Leaves compound, palmately lobed in a whorl. Leaflets small ovoid, obtuse, dark green glabrous, with prominent veins. Plant blossom very rarely. Reproduction manly by vegetative manner.
MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated vata, pitta, emaciation, skin diseases, anorexia, colic, burning sensation, vomiting, inflammation, menorrhagia and general debility. It is also used to promote breast milk production. Underground root tuber is a staple food for Indian tribes.
