PLANT DESCRIPTION
An extensively spreading twiner herb with very large tuberous roots. Leaves trifoliate, leaflets broadly ovate or rhomboid, glabrous above and silky beneath; flowers blue or puplish blue in leafless racemes; fruits membranous, flat, jointed pods clothed with long silky bristly brown hairs.
MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated pitta and vata, arthritis, burning sensation, constipation, emaciation, cardiac debility, intermittent fevers, skin diseases, dyspepsia, cough, hepato-splenomegaly, sexual debility and general debility.
Useful part : Tuberous roots.
