PLANT DESCRIPTION
A small annual shrub grows up to 1 meter in height. Leaves simple, opposite, acuminate, entire, wavy margins; flowers small, white or violet colored, in axillary clusters. Fruits long, ovoid, cylindrical, green, and become red when ripe, containing many compressed yellowish white seeds.
MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated kapha, fever, gout, arthritis, sciatica, anorexia, flatulence, cough, malaria, cholera and edema.
