PLANT DESCRIPTION
A prickly shrub grows up to 1.5 meters in height. Leaves simple, ovate, lobed, prickly on both surfaces; flowers pale blue or white, in axillary cyme. Fruits globose berries, greenish yellow, contain large number of small smooth compressed seeds.
MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated vata, kapha, skin diseases, urinary retention, fever, cough, asthma, dysmenorrhea, colic, flatulence and constipation.
