PLANT DESCRIPTION
A perennial aquatic herb grown abundantly in marshy areas. Leaves simple, long petioled, succulent, linear-ovate, reniform; flowers blue showy, found in subspicate racemes. Fruits are capsule, containing small numerous seeds.
MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated pitta, burns, and scalds, burning sensations, general debility, fever, hemorrhage, cough and scurvy.
