Distribution – Growing naturally in evergreen forests in India.   
PLANT DESCRIPTION
A moderate sized tree grows up to 15 meters in height. Leaves simple, alternate, long petioled, ovate-lanceolate, entire or mildly serrate; flowers dioecious, small whitish, seen in axillary spikes; male in long spikes, and female in short spikes. Fruits globose, three lobed capsules, covered with dense reddish brown powder. Seeds black, smooth, and globose.
MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated kapha, vata, worm infestation, constipation, skin diseases, flatulence, wounds, ulcers, cough, renal and vesical calculi, poisons, ringworm, herpes and hemorrhages.
Useful part    :    Brown powder covering the fruit.
