PLANT DESCRIPTION
A herbecious plant, grows up to 60 cm in height. Branches usually opposite; leaves lower opposite, upper sometimes alternate, oblong or narrow-elliptic, rounded or sub-cordate, usually obtuse or sub-acute; flowers reddish in dense axillary clusters, apetalous or with minute petals; fruits depressed globose capsules covered by calyx partially.
MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated kapha, pitta,, burning sensation, anorexia, dyspepsia, flatulence, colic, renal and vesical calculi, rheumatism, intermittent fevers and herpes.
