PLANT DESCRIPTION
A small tree grow up to 8 meters of height. Leaves large, simple, alternate, lenceolate, acute, with prominent central nerve. The yellow-green flowers are generally in clusters of three or four 2 centimetres. The fruit is variable in shape: heart-shaped or spherical. When ripe, the fruit is brown or yellowish. Seeds scattered within sugary whitish edible pulp
MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated pitta, constipation, burning sensation, anemia, vomiting, cough, malignancy and general tonic. Root decoction is a powerful purgative. Powdered seed kills body and hair lice on external application.
