PLANT DESCRIPTION
A medium to large sized tree grows up to 60 meters in height. Leaves Simple, opposite, sometimes whorled, ovate, acute or obtuse, leathery; flowers in axillary spikes, small and whitish; fruits long oblong elliptic, become green to purple when ripe, containing one buttery seed, which yield an edible oil.
MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated vata, pitta, stomatitis, skin diseases, arthritis, headache, colic and itching.
