Distribution – Growing naturally throughout Western Ghats, and in Plains in wet places and river sides.
PLANT DESCRIPTION
A medium sized deciduous tree grows up to 30 meters in height. Leaves simple, elliptic-oblong, pubescent beneath and opposite; flowers yellow or orange in globose heads; fruits globose pseudocarp become yellow when rips, contain small seeds.
MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated pitta, inflammation, urinary retention, fever, cough, diarrhea, menorrhagia, burning sensation, wounds, ulcer and general debility.
Useful part : Bark, Leaves.
